Getting Ready
Your journey begins with step-by-step instructions to prepare you for the Solution. If you are a beginner in Crypto, these steps are absolutely essential for getting started. [If you have a crypto wallet with your XLM already, click this link or the Proceed to Step 2 button below to register as an Affiliate.] In any event, you will need a wallet to get started and we will walk you through the process of obtaining one.
Your first lessons in crypto will occur outside of The Crypto Solution on a site called Coinbase. To fully participate in The Solution, you will need to convert cash into cryptocurrency. If you are new to crypto, we highly recommend going to Coinbase to establish an account. Just be aware that an ACCOUNT is different than having a WALLET, though Coinbase may not make that point exactly clear. Coinbase does an excellent job of getting you started. You need to purchase a coin called XLM to start. Once you have your Coinbase account established, return to The Crypto Solution website to continue our step-by-step instructions.
We use a combination of your Coinbase account which you use to buy the XLM and a different wallet to receive your crypto payments from The Solution. Our recommended combination is the Coinbase account and the Lobstr wallet, which you can find more information about below. The Lobstr wallet gives you an easy way to get cash out with very little hassle.
The Atomic wallet is also a good option. Once you have your Coinbase account, if you prefer that option, there are instructions for the Atomic wallet on this site as well.
Obtain Your Crypto Wallet
A wallet is an app that is used to store, send and receive your coins. There are many to choose from. If you don’t have one already, and you want an easy path to cashing out your crypto for cash, we highly recommend that you choose the Lobstr wallet. The advantage is that it was designed to work on the Stellar Network. The Stellar Foundation issues the XLM coin that the Solution uses. The Lobstr wallet also provides the added convenience of cashing out your crypto through MoneyGram which is also a Stellar Foundation Partner.
We will only use one coin for the Solution:
- Lumens (XLM) for your purchases
- Payment to affiliates is also in XLM
If you want to use just one wallet for all of your Solution tranactions, then the Lobstr wallet may be your best option. There are fees and minimum purchase amounts associated with purchasing your crypto through Lobstr, however. That is the primary reason that we suggest using Coinbase to start and then transfer your XLM to the Lobstr Wallet. The second reason is that YOU SHOULD NOT USE COINBASE FOR RECEIVING YOUR PAYMENTS.

Transfer Your Lumens (XLM).
You will need only $6.25 for the Solution. We suggest having at least $10 worth of XLM to start because of the fluctuations in cryptocurrency prices.
If you choose to purchase your XLM through Lobstr, you can do it right in the app. Keep in mind that there are usually fees associated with the purchase and at present, there is a minimum USD amount that is required that is much higher than Coinbase.

Purchasing The Crypto Solution can be done easily from the Send Page by clicking Stellar Wallet Button. You can use either the QR code from the store or you can type in the information.
Cashing out is as easy as selecting the MoneyGram option from the menu and filling in a few details, including the location that you wish to pick up your money…real CASH, that is.
